Making the World a better Place

I work at the intersection of sustainable development, programme support, knowledge management and digital innovation. I am interested in how people, institutions and ideas come together to turn good intentions into meaningful work.

Hi there 👋

I am Isaac Lemayian

A sustainable development practitioner in the making, with a background in science, education and programme support.

My work and studies have taken me into questions of sustainable development, knowledge, institutions and how ideas translate into practice. I’m particularly interested in the space where research, programmes and people come together to create meaningful change.

I’m still learning, still building, and still figuring out what it means to do work that leaves something better behind.

What I work around

Sustainable development

Understanding the systems, institutions and practical work required to move from sustainability goals to implementation.

Programme Support

Supporting programmes through coordination, research, documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement.

Knowledge

Making information easier to find, understand, share and use. I am interested in knowledge management and organisational learning.

Digital Innovation

Using digital tools and systems where they can make programmes, knowledge and collaboration work better. Agents, workspaces and trainings.

“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

What I'm learning

I don’t want this website to present a finished version of me. My interests are still developing. I am learning about sustainable development, governance, institutions, knowledge systems and the ways technology can support better work. Some of that learning happens through formal study. Some happens through projects. A lot of it happens through reading, writing and conversations. This space is part of that process.

Articles

Ideas, questions and things I am trying to understand. I write about sustainable development, institutions, governance, knowledge, technology, education and other questions that catch my attention. Not everything here is a finished argument — some pieces are observations, some are reflections, some are simply questions worth spending time with.

Books

Books I have been reading, thinking about and sometimes arguing with. Reading is part of how I learn. This is a record of the books I have read, the ideas that stayed with me, the arguments I questioned and the connections I made to my own work and thinking.

Publications

Research and academic work, including working papers, preprints and other publications. I keep these here alongside my other work because research is one part of how I explore questions, test ideas and contribute to conversations.
